We roll out the mat for different reasons — to speed up, to slow down, to breathe, to reconnect. Shift is a gentle four-part series created to honour all of those intentions. Across four Fridays, we’ll explore the subtle energetics of each element through guided asana, embodied movement, breathwork, stillness, and sound. Come for the full series or take the classes that call to you. Think of it as a spacious toolkit to help you return to deep presence in daily life.

ZEN MEDITATION + CHANTING: Clearing the Heart, Cultivating Peace

An evening of Zen walking and seated meditation that includes a special study and chanting of the heart sutra. The heart sutra is considered one of the most important, and most recited texts in Mahāyāna buddhism, and evokes deep thought and stillness. We will be chanting both in English and Japanese to the rhythmic sound of a traditional Japanese mokugyo wooden fish drum.
