Sofia is inspired by helping people fall in love with movement and rediscover their strength. Beginning in competitive sports, she developed a passion for movement early on. Through her own struggles with injury and recovery she found Pilates. In her work Sofia creates a collaborative experience to meet each client where they are, using a progressive approach to Pilates and movement therapy. She has seen and experienced just how much movement can heal the body and mind. No matter your level you’ll be challenged and have fun!
CAIT RYAN (she/her)

As a movement teacher, Cait has cultivated a practice of learning from / connecting with the spaces in between; creating room to play in rhythm, exploring form without limit and space beyond time. Her classes lean into curiosity and create space for strength and ease to co-exist. She is informed by a variety of teachers and movement modalities. Cait believes that movement in community is powerful; it nourishes the heart, reminds you of your resilience, and plants seeds for transformation. Her desire is to inspire folks to connect to their own senses as they move through their practice, with guidance to be where their body is.

KAYLYN GELATA (she/her)
Kaylyn has been a movement instructor since 2017. She found her own movement practice to be an incredibly helpful tool for navigating difficult seasons of life, cultivating confidence and for maintaining her own mental health. This is why she is passionate about sharing movement from a place of connectedness, awareness and inner strength, by drawing from the teachings of yoga, principles of Pilates and intuitive movements. Kaylyn's teaching will inspire you to be curious, to play and to confidently trust yourself and she believes that your movement practices should make you feel good and want to return to again and again. Using functional movement as her guide, alongside thoughtfully accompanied music, Kaylyn's classes aim to leave you feeling connected, grounded and balanced - mind, body and heart. When not teaching or taking classes, Kaylyn is spending time in nature with her puppy, (hiking, paddleboarding and kayaking), creating art (with clay, poetry and writing), and enjoying good food, wine and games with friends.

RACHEL MCLEAN (she/her)
Rachel McLean is a Pilates and Yoga teacher. She moved to Tkaronto in 2003 to study Radio + Television at TMU, and has called it home since then. Rachel started practicing Yoga and Pilates in 2009 after she quit drinking and turned to movement practice as a source of grounding and JOY!
She began teaching in 2013 out of a desire to share the practices she found helpful with others. Her movement education includes the Equinox Pilates Training Institute comprehensive program (450hr), Downward Dog Yoga (250hr), Yoga Detour (200hr), Body Harmonics (115hr), Kula Yoga Project (75hr) and Octopus Garden’s 50-hr Mindfulness Teacher Training Program. She’s also completed various continuing education courses including Adaptive Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Essentrics and Pre and Post Natal Pilates.
She is also a Documentary Film Producer, and is Métis/Michif with Red River roots on her maternal side.

ROB SPAGNOLA
Rob owns and operates The Gym in the Armoury, where for the past five years, he has provided a welcoming and professional fitness experience to the local community. With over a decade of experience as a personal trainer, Rob is dedicated to helping individuals achieve long-term success in their strength, fitness, and performance. His gym uniquely combines the personalized feel of a boutique training studio with the utility and accessibility of a public fitness space.
Before opening the gym, Rob spent more than seven years working at the Granite Club, a premier social and athletic club in Toronto. Collaborating with a team of over 40 personal trainers and instructors can really help hone a trainer's expertise— Rob's worked with a diverse clientele from general population individuals seeking improved health and fitness to national and provincial-level team and individual sport athletes striving for peak performance. His education and experience gives Rob a well-rounded approach to helping his understanding of people’s unique needs, goals, and values, while reinforcing his commitment to the fundamentals of movement, the human body, and effective training principles.
Rob opened The Gym in the Armoury to simply share his passion for fitness, and his expertise with the local community. He takes pride in creating a supportive and inspiring space where clients feel confident to take charge of their training, build strength, and truly enjoy the process of improving their fitness.
When he's not coaching or managing the gym, Rob enjoys spending time with his family, chasing after his lively toddler, staying committed to his own training, and soaking in all the experiences life in the county has to offer.

JANE CLAP
Jane Clapp is a Jungian Psychoanalyst and Registered Psychotherapist known for her innovative integration of Jungian depth psychology with somatic therapy. She is a member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP) and has over 25 years of experience in movement therapy, embodiment education, and trauma recovery. Her work centers on exploring the deep connection between psyche and body, emphasizing the transformative power of this integration for personal growth and healing.
A key aspect of her approach is Jungian Somatics, a method she developed to combine Jungian analytical techniques with somatic practices. This includes embodied dream analysis, active imagination, and intuitive movement. Her practice supports clients in processing trauma, building resilience, and reconnecting with their authentic selves. She also provides training and workshops to professionals and individuals, covering topics like boundaries, the symbolic language of the body, and the somatic dimensions of complexes. She also created a training program, Movement for Trauma, geared to supporting practitioners across the globe in being more trauma-intelligent and informed in working with clients both individually and in class environments.
