PILATES TEACHER TRAINING

PILATES TEACHER TRAINING

Our MAT + REFORMER PILATES TEACHER TRAINING programs offer a comprehensive certification in Pilates, taught through a contemporary and creative lens. Led by Sofia and Cait, and supported by an inspiring roster of guest educators, this training is an immersion in the language and experience of movement. You’ll explore the Pilates repertoire through a blend of embodied self-practice, creative reflection, mentorship, and plenty of hands-on teaching.

We’ll study anatomy and biomechanics in approachable, applied ways that connect directly to how you move, the why of each movement, and how these patterns appear in everyday life, so you can translate movement knowledge into both teaching and daily living. We’ll also ground your learning in self-awareness and the nervous system, offering tools that help you bring your whole + present self into your teaching.

In addition to strengthening your skills, this journey is about supporting you in finding your voice, so you can teach movement with clarity, creativity, and care for the many ways people arrive in their bodies and in practice.

At it’s foundation, the studio pec’s Teacher Training is designed to help you cultivate presence in the dynamic space of working with bodies in motion. You will learn to stay grounded and responsive in real time. By the end of the program, you’ll step into your role as a movement leader who teaches with intention, fluidity, and confidence.

EXTRA CURRICULAR

EXTRA CURRICULAR

As part of our curriculum, you’ll also lead community classes — 10 in our Mat program and 15 in our Reformer program. These classes are a chance to step into teaching with real students while being supported by the faculty, and they provide meaningful access to Pilates for our broader community.

This small group program, much like our group classes, is open to a limited number of participants. The intimate size of our program ensures individualized attention and more opportunities for collaboration and creative discussion. We’ll be taking a maximum of 10 participants in each program.

Please note that, while participating in these Teacher Training Programs will set you up with a solid foundation to be able to teach Mat and Reformer classes at any studio, it does NOT guarantee work as a Teacher at the studio pec after your completion of the certification. We will consider your application for any open roles at that time, but we cannot guarantee a role will be available.

“Sof + Cait were the most remarkable, thoughtful, knowledgeable and supportive teachers I have had the pleasure of learning from in my fitness / movement training career. I would highly recommend the program to anyone who is interested in and committed to elevating their teacher training. Forever grateful.”
